Rifle Fundamentals Course
The rifle fundamentals course is designed for those who have little to no experience with rifles. We will cover the basic components of the weapon, loading and unloading procedures, proper shouldering and stances, how to use and zero iron sights and optics, trigger control, ballistics fundamentals, how to clear common malfunctions, and proper cleaning and maintenance of your rifle. The most common rifle is the AR-15 platform. However, there is a broader range of rifles of multiple different calibers and actions that can be used for this course, and the course will be tailored to fit those specifics as appropriate.
During the two-hour range session, your instructor will focus on your safety while you develop familiarity with your rifle while you execute multiple shooting drills. You will focus on the marksmanship aspect of rifle shooting and will move slowly as you shoot approximately 100 rounds at distances out to 200 yards.
This course is not intended to teach you how to mount optics.
